Unloading crane, small dust intake and polish
Vehicles unload under a crane, solar panels follow the sun, vehicles steer visibly and the star map runs smoothly.
The second round after the fourth shared playtest mostly improves what is already there.
New
- Unloading crane: The dust intake unloads the push sweeper and the sweeper truck with a crane as soon as they stop on its bay. A hint shows where to stop and how far unloading has progressed. It unlocks together with the garage.
- Small dust intake: An inexpensive intake for canisters puts the dust straight onto the conveyor belt.
Improved
- Dust intake: It no longer needs power.
- Solar panels: The modules turn towards the sun and lie flat on standby at night.
- Base power connection: Two hook-up masts stand at the sides of the base. While placing a mast, cables and rings show what it will connect to; the garage's wallboxes show their state with a light.
- Vehicles: The front wheels visibly steer, the sweeper truck can also be entered from the front, and slopes up to 45° can be driven. New vehicles start with their brushes raised, and disc brushes grow at most to twice their size through upgrades.
- Fill port and launch console: Both are redesigned, and the fill port's flaps open visibly for all players.
- Ramp, splitter and merger: They are redesigned in the style of the foundations and factories, with lights marking inputs and outputs.
- Rocket product input: It now has the look of the new logistics buildings, with a hopper and a pipe into the tower. The light runs on splitters, mergers and the product input only move while parts pass through.
- Build menu: Buildings that are still locked show on their card when they become available.
- Terrain: A half ring of hills rises behind the base, and crater rims blend smoothly into the ground.
- Menus: A click selects, key hints appear as key caps, and the main and pause menus have sharper symbols. A and B confirm and cancel with a gamepad in every menu.
- Star map: Panning and zooming run without stutter, and the path to the tools is clearly highlighted.
- Toothbrush: With upgrades it grows to at most 30 cm wide.
- Sounds: The cleaning sounds of the hand tools are considerably quieter.
- Third person: Characters hold their tools in their hands.
Fixed
- Dust edges at base plates and finished sectors showed jagged lines.
- Switching to the other bed put the scissors too large on screen. A full oxygen tank is now reported when cutting.
- The sweeper truck's roof lights flickered, and the steering wheel turned the wrong way.
- With wide brushes, the second vehicle could not be bought in the garage.
- A guest could not take a released vehicle again right away.
- A repeated join attempt filled the log with error messages.
- The station control's star map moved while walking past the monitor.
